Final Blog
Computers are very important to everyday life. Computers are not only used at works and homes they are also used in schools. In this course I have learned a lot about computers that I did not know already. I thought I knew all there was to know about computers, but I was wrong. Even though I use a computer every day at work I there is still a lot about computers that I do not know about.
Throughout this class I learned a lot about how to use a computer correctly. I think all that I have learned throughout this course has been very useful. However, I think the most useful thing was the assessment tools. I think I will be able to use these tools the most. They will not only help me as a student, but they will also help me as a teacher. I will be able to use the rubistar when writing a paper and grading a paper. The rubistar is not the only useful tools I think all of them are useful in some ways. These assessment tools are not only useful but also very easily accessible.
This class had a lot of strong points, but it also had its weak points. I had a lot of strong points during this class; however my strongest point was the movie maker project. I think this was my strongest point because I enjoyed doing it the most. It allowed me to put my own special touches to the project. I enjoyed being able to make a movie using the computer and it be a learning experience. It allowed me to put my own special touches to the pictures and also allowed me to put my own special touches to how the pictures appeared and entered. This project was by far, my favorite thing we did in this class. However I did have some weak points in this class.
One weak point that I had in this class were the quizzes. The quizzes were not the problem, they were fairly easy. The problem was reading the book to be able to answer the quizzes. I know the book reading is important. However, it was just not very helpful to me. I think this was because I did not enjoy the material the book covered. I do know that the material that was covered was necessary, but it was just not interesting to me. The other weak point that I had during this class was the Google group discussions. I think this was an application that I really did not enjoy using. I did not like this because it was not a very reliable source of discussions. The thing I really did not like was that if I posted a comment about something someone else could change my post. However, there was a setting to change this setting; I really did not enjoy this application.
Some ways I could probably improve my weak points of this class is take more time reading the book material. Also maybe I could read the material more than one time and try to see if I could be more interested in it. In the Group discussions, I could try using it more and maybe understanding its application better. I could also change the settings when I use the Google discussions. I could set it to where I have to check the postings before they are posted.
The weaknesses and the strong points are normal in everyday life. There are weakness and strong points in almost everything we do in everyday life. Computers are they same way. However, it is important to use technology in a class room. It not only helps the students learn better but it is also useful for teachers. Teachers can use them for presentations and students can use them to better understand material about something. Technology is an important in tool in life.

Web Page Reflection
One of the standards for students that a web page supports is technology and operations and concepts. This is because the students can use the web page as a tool to inform other students about their personal information and any other information. It can also help the students in the future. It allows the students to realize that there are tools in technology that may apply to them in the future. Teachers can use a web page for parents and students. It allows the teacher to be better organized, but also is very useful for parents and students. The teachers can put upcoming dates that are useful for parents and students. The teacher can also put there contact information and background information that will be useful for teachers and parents. I personally think a web page is very important tool to have and know how to use. It provides many opportunities.

Web tools are very helpful and satisfying to students and teachers. Students use internet games which allow students to be creative and apply their knowledge to the specific game. The games will test their knowledge on a specific subject. Teachers use web tool to help prepare for upcoming lessons and also us it to help things. The teachers can also make assignments using the web tools. They can make different work sheets for different subjects. They can make a math work sheet and also have an answer sheet for that work sheet. They can also use the web tools in making test and quizzes. Although make like an important test is very unreliable it is to the teacher’s and student’s advantage to have practice tests and quizzes available online. The teachers have to use the internet for these different activities so it a great opportunity to teachers and students.

Google group allows students to communicate their ideas and problems. This discussion board is different from the web page because the Google discussion board is less reliable than that of the web page. With the web page you can post different topics and subtopics. The Google discussion board is less reliable because you can write something on it and it can be changed by other people. Although there are settings that can change that ability, it will change the communication abilities with other students. The students will not be able to add any comments to a specific post. They are using someone else’s words and their thoughts. The turnitin website is a great tool for students and teachers. Students can use it before turning in a project. This will help them avoid plagiarism at all and the consequences it plagiarism will bring. Teachers can use this tool to help them find any cases of plagiarism. All the teachers have to do is turn in the paper and wait for the results. I will definitely take advantage of this tool. This would be a fun and learning project for students.
